Another week, another seven new teams in the High School Football America 100 national high school football rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Alabama’s Thompson leads the list at No. 41 after knocking-off former No. 11 Hoover on Friday. Prior to the 48-30 win over the Bucs, the Warriors were ranked just outside of the On the Bubble teams last week.

Ohio’s St. Xavier moves from No. 108 to No. 73 after beating former No. 53 Colerain 21-14, which drops the Cardinals to No. 83.
The other new entrants are: Whitehaven (Tennessee) at No. 96, East St. Louis (Illinois) at No. 97, Muskegon (Michigan) at No. 98, Oaks Christian (California) at No. 99 and Venice (Florida) at No. 100. Both Oaks Christian and Venice began the season in the Top 100.
It was a tough weekend for Georgia teams with three teams dropping-out of the HSFA 100, defending 7A champ Milton (No. 56) and 6A champ Lee County (No. 71) both lost. Former No. 36 Parkview also lost, dropping a 38-7 decision to Lowndes, which climbs to No. 29 this week.
No. 1 Mater Dei and No. 2 St. John Bosco will be tested by Top 25 opponents over the weekend during the Trinity League vs. USA Showcase in Bellflower, California. The top-ranked and two-time defending High School Football America “mythical” national champs will square-off with No. 3 St. Frances Academy (Maryland), while host Bosco takes-on No. 19 Good Counsel (Maryland). The third game of the tripleheader features No. 43 JSerra (California) playing No. 118 Milton from Georgia.
Two other games that will shape next week’s rankings — No. 4 IMG Academy (Florida) vs. No. 12 St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) and No. 6 Duncanville (Texas) vs. No. 13 St. John’s College High School (Washington, DC).
