For the first time all season, it was a fairly calm week in the High School Football America 100 national high school football rankings with only a couple of surprising outcomes that could also be called “upsets.” The top seventeen teams hold their spots and we have four new teams breaking into the Top 100 this week.

Indiana’s Cathedral High School breaks into the national rankings after beating former No. 54 Trinity (Kentucky) 28-7 in Indianapolis. The Fighting Irish break into the rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm at No. 83. Trinity drops to No. 89.

Elder (Ohio) climbs from Honorable Mention last week to No. 80 this week. The Panthers, who own an overtime victory over Indianapolis Cathedral, handed former No. 62 St. Xavier (Ohio) its first loss of the season on Friday. Elder’s only loss came at the hands of St. Edward (Ohio), which breaks back into the Top 25 at No. 25 in the latest rankings. St. Ed began the year No. 14 in our preseason rankings. St. X drops to No. 82.

Miami’s Booker T. Washington (Florida) finally makes the Top 100 after flirting with it for weeks. The Tornadoes break-in at No. 98, giving Florida 13 teams in the national high school football rankings.

The final new entrant is Parkview from Georgia. The Panthers, who began the season ranked No. 37, re-enter at No. 99. Parkview’s only loss is to No. 9 Lowndes.
