There’s some jostling at the bottom of the latest High School Football America Alabama High School Football Top 10.
Clay-Chalkville handed former No. 6 Oxford its first loss of the season Friday night. The win moves Gardendale into the Top 10 at No. 10. Oxford drops one spot to No. 7 and will play Gardendale this week.
Thompson remains a solid No. 1 after beating previous unbeaten Mountain Brook, which stays at No. 5 after the 33-21 loss. This week, Mountain Brook takes on No. 2 Hoover.
Thompson, Hoover and Central (Phenix City) are also ranked in the High School Football America 100 national rankings.
