Lanett High School quarterback Kristian Story is the 2019 Alabama Mr. Football. Story was named this year’s winner by the Alabama Sportswriters Association.
Story, who has already enrolled at the University of Alabama, led Lanett to the 1A state championship. He finished his senior season completing 162-of-237 passes for 2,865 yards and 33 touchdowns. He also had 1,151 yards rushing on 116 carries and 17 touchdowns.

Story now hold the Alabama High School Athletic Association records for career total yards and touchdowns. He broke 2018 High School Football America Player of the Year Bo Nix‘s record (2015-2018) for total offense with 13,218 yards and touchdowns with 175. Nix, who is currently at Auburn, won last year’s Mr. Football Award.
His total yards break-out this way — 9,070 passing, 3,618 rushing and 530 receiving. Story accounted for 175 touchdowns —119 passing, 48 rushing and eight receiving.
