According to TheState.com, the South Carolina High School League Executive Committee will meet on Wednesday to discuss the 2020 high school football season. The website is reporting that one of the options on the table is moving high school football to the Spring.
Another option will be one that will be proposed by the SCHSL staff, but there are no details on that plan.
The plan to move football to the Spring comes from Lexington County, which is proposing football start January 25. Teams would plan a six game regular season with the season coming to a close April 2.
Teams have been holding conditioning and skills training since June 8. Fall camps are schedule to open July 31 with the first regular season games set for August 21.
