The 2020 Florida high school football season is scheduled to start July 27. On Monday, the Florida High School Athletic Association Board of Directors will hold a special meeting to decide if the upcoming season will start on-time.
Over the last month, a FHSAA’s COVID-19 Task Force has held three meetings where different proposals have been put forth. To say that one proposal is better than the other is in the eye of the beholder.
Right now twelve states have “officially” pushed back the start of the upcoming season and it’s likely that Florida could do the same.

Also on Monday, the California Interscholastic Federation will announce its new 2020-21 schedule, which will probably including the moving of football into January or February.

It’s also rumored that the University Interscholastic League, the largest high school sports governing body in the Lone Star State could make a decision on Monday.
