It took the Florida High School Athletic Association nearly four-and-a-half hours to decide that it’s going to keep things on-schedule for the 2020 high school football season and open Fall camps next Monday. Monday’s FHSAA decision also allows teams to play their schedules as planned.

The vote went against the Sports Medicine Advisory Committee’s recommendation to delay the start of the high school football season.
The approved plan also allows for teams to decide if they want to participate in the postseason. If a team decides to opt-out of the state series, they can continue to play regular season games through the end of the state series.
Now, before everyone gets to excited, FloridaHSFootball.com is reporting that there will be another meeting later this week or early next week that could reverse Monday night’s decision.
