Eight more states will open their 2020 high school football seasons as planned this weekend, joining Utah, which opened the season last weekend. Alabama, Alaska, Idaho, Indiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Tennessee are the states opening this weekend.

In all, seventeen states are starting on-time. The August 27-29 weekend will see Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Montana, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wyoming start as planned.
Kansas will open on-time on September 4.
