After Top 25 wins on Friday, Grayson and North Gwinnett climb one spot in the latest statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. Grayson moves to No. 2 after knocking-off former No. 14 Collins Hill 28-7. North Gwinnett moves from No. 4 to No. 3 after shutting-out former No. 2 Parkview 21-0.
This week, NG faces No. 15 North Cobb in one of four head-to-head matchups in the Georgia Top 25.

Valdosta moves-up a notch to No. 5 after trouncing preseason-ranked Bainbridge 45-7. Next-up for the Wildcats is a big matchup against No. 6 Colquitt County.
What makes this one big is the fact that it will be Rush Propst’s first game against his old team. Propst took-over reigns of the Valdosta program earlier this year after being fired from Colquitt County at the end of the 2018 season. Propst led the Packers to back-to-back state titles in 2014 and 2015. The ’15 title resulted in CC winning the 2015 High School Football America national championship.

In the two other head-to-head Georgia Top 25 matchups this week. Top-ranked Lowndes plays No. 10 Lee County, which is off to a 2-0 start, outscoring opponents 110-0. No. 9 Brookwood takes-on No. 12 Mill Creek.
After an 0-2 start with loses against North Gwinnett and Grayson, McEachern is back in the Top 25 at No. 20 after ripping former No. 10 Marietta 49-28. The win snapped the defending 7A champs’ ten game win streak and drops them out of the Top 25.
