It’s No. 1 vs. No. 2 Thursday night when two-time state champ Corner Canyon travels to Lone Peak. The showdown was set-up after former No. 2 American Fork was blown-out by No. 4 Skyridge 41-9 last week.
The Skyridge victory shuffled the top of the latest High School Football America Utah Top 10 with Lone Peak moving-up a spot from No. 3 to No. 2. Skyridge is also up a spot to No. 3 in the latest statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. American Fork falls to No. 4 this week.
Thursday night’s Corner Canyon/Lone Peak game marks the second straight weekend that CC will play an undefeated opponent. Last week, the Chargers knocked-off former No. 6 Pleasant Grove 38-7, which drops the Vikings two spots to No. 8 this week. Pleasant Grove will try to rebound against Skyridge this week.
The third head-to-head matchup in the Top 10 this week features No. 6 Bingham taking-on No. 7 East.
