Since taking-over as the head football coach of the North Gwinnett Bulldogs in 2017, Bill Stewart has kept the program consistently in the High School Football America 100 national rankings. On Thursday, Stewart was saluted by the Atlanta Falcons as the team’s Week 3 Coach of the Week.

North Gwinnett is currently ranked No. 3 in the High School Football America Georgia Top 25 after a 21-0 shutout of former No. 2 Parkview last weekend. Look for the Bulldogs to be nationally ranked when we release our first High School Football America 100 for the 2020 regular season on October 4.

Had we not canceled the release of the 2020 Preseason High School Football America 100 due to the changing schedules during COVID-19, the Bulldogs would have been ranked No. 63 in the nation.

In his three years as NG’s head coach, Stewart’s teams have finished No. 53 (2019), No. 92 (2018) and No. 47 (2017) in our national rankings. The 2017 team finished runner-up in Georgia’s 7A classification.

As part of the Coach of the Week program, the NFL and Atlanta Falcons will recognize ten head high school varsity football coaches across the state of Georgia for their hard work and dedication to making a difference in student-athletes lives on and off the field. Each winning head coach will receive a $1,000 grant for their football program, a commemorative Atlanta Falcons item and recognition from the Atlanta Falcons.
