The nation’s second longest active high school football win streak is over.
Spring Valley beat four-time defending West Virginia Class AAA champ Martinsburg Friday night 22-20, ending the Bulldogs’ 57-game win streak. Martinsburg hadn’t lost since 2015.
Spring Valley never trailed in the game. Martinsburg recovered an onside kick with over two minutes to go after Kevon Warren’s 4-yard touchdown run closed the Bulldogs within two points.
On a 4th-and-7 with under a minute to play, Spring Valley came-up with a defensive stop on a a Peyton Curry pass.

Minnesota’s Caledonia now own the nation’s longest active win streak with 67 straight victories.
