The Sentinel High School football team may hold the all-time record for the number of Eagle Scouts, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America, on one team.  Five members of the Missoula, Montana football team this past season carried the title of Eagle Scout.

The Eagle Scouts are David Beach, twin brothers Colin and Chris Hammock, Byron Rollins and Nolan Staats.  A story on the Boys Scouts’ website indicates that a sixth member of the team, Walker Kay, is currently a Life Scout, which is one level away from being an Eagle Scout.  Kay is expected to achieve the high honor this summer, according to the story.

The story goes on to state that Rollins has a perfect GPA and will receive academic and athletic scholarships to play football at Montana State.  The Hammock brothers are Honor Roll Students vying for Montana’s prestigious Presidential Scholarship, while Beach and Staats also have impressive resumes.
