It’s time for the Iowa high school football state semifinals. Three of this week’s Final 4’s will feature head-to-head matchups inside the High School Football America Iowa Top 10.
In one 4A semi, top-ranked Southeast Polk meets Top 10 newcomer Pleasant Valley, which enters the statewide rankings at No. 6. In the other semfinal, seven-time defending state champ Dowling Catholic, ranked No. 2 this week, meets No. 4 Ankeny.
In 3A, No. 3 Xavier takes-on our second newcomer this week, North Scott, which is ranked No. 10.
