St. Mary’s is headed to Iowa’s 8-man high school football state championship game after a record-breaking 108-94 victory over Montezuma Thursday. For those of you wondering, the 202 points is the result of 29 touchdowns.

The two combined for 1,497 yards in total offense. Incredibly, St. Mary’s led in time of possession 34:02-to-13:58. Losing QB Eddie Burgess was 34-for-60 for 689 yards passing with nine touchdowns.
