Saturday Games
No. 73 La Salle College HS (Pennsylvania) will head into next week’s showdown with No. 48 St. Joseph’s Prep (Pennsylvania) with a perfect 5-0 mark after beating McDonogh (Maryland) 38-14.
Friday Night Games
Look for Hough to make a big jump in the new HSFA 100 that will be released on Sunday. The Huskies used a great defense to beat two-time defending North Carolina 4AA champ Chambers 16-10.
During the Spring 2021 season, Hough beat Chambers during the regular season (29-22), but two weeks later the Cougars won in the playoffs (24-10) on the way two their second straight state championship.
In Florida, No. 79 Cocoa edged No. 50 Treasure Coast 56-55 by going for a two point conversion in the second overtime. The game-ender capped an incredible comeback for the Tigers, who trailed 28-7 after one quarter.

In New Jersey, No. 10 Bergen Catholic beat arch-rival No. 146 Don Bosco Prep 17-0. The Crusaders were led by Ryan Butler, who ran for a pair of short touchdowns.
BC’s win snapped a two-game losing streak to DBP.
In the other Jersey showdown, No. 23 St. Peter’s Prep needed its special teams in a 10-7 win over No. 106 DePaul Catholic (New Jersey). SPP senior CJ Wesley returned a deflected field goal attempt and ran 97 yards for the only Marauders’ touchdown.

In Georgia, defending 5A champ Warner Robins roared by 6A runner-up Lee County 56-30. Warner Robins entered the game ranked No. 51 in our Top 100. Lee County started the game ranked No. 60 in the nation.
Thursday Night Games
The biggest game on Thursday was the public/private showdown between No. 11 Oakland and No. 159 Lipscomb Academy. Both teams entered the game without a loss.
After falling behind 21-7, Oakland roared back behind star running back Jordan James, who has given his verbal to Georgia. Jones ran for 200 yards with two touchdowns.
At the end of the game, the Oakland defense had to stop Boston College commit Alex Broome at the 2 yard line to seal the victory. It was the Patriots’ 51 straight win at home.
