For the second week in a row, Illinois-power East St. Louis beat one of the top teams in the High School Football America Missouri Top 10 powered by NFL Play Football. After beating No. 2 CBC two weeks ago, the Flyers beat No. 1 De Smet 32-17. Despite the loss, the Spartans remain No. 1 in the latest statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.
Next week’s rankings will be shaped by the annual showdown between De Smet and CBC. De Smet has won four straight against its arch-rival.
