Oakland picks up third win against Tennessee Top 10 team

Oakland’s outstanding 2021 season continued Friday night with its third win over a team ranked in the High School Football America Tennessee Top 10, at game time. The Patriots moved to 8-0 with a 24-7 win over former No. 10 Riverdale in a battle of unbeatens.

On the nation scene, Oakland is currently ranked No. 10 in the High School Football America 100 national rankings powered by NFL Play Football.

Baylor makes its first appearance in 2021 in our Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football, at No. 10. This week, the Raiders will face No. 9 Montgomery Bell Academy, which has won four straight after a 1-3 start.

The big game this week features No. 5 Christian Presbyterian Academy (CPA) squaring-off with No. 6 Lipscomb Academy. It’s a rematch of last year’s Division II-AA state championship game won by CPA.

Both teams are coached by former NFL quarterbacks. CPA’s head coach in Ingle Martin. Lipscomb’s HC is Trent Dilfer.
