For the second time in three years, West Hancock is Iowa’s Class A high school football champ. Thursday at the UNI-Dome, the Eagles beat Grundy Center 19-14 for the state title.
West Hancock used a run-oriented offense, running the ball 41 times versus three passes. Matthew Francis carried the ball 25 times for 119 yards and a touchdown.

West Hancock finishes a perfect 13-0. Grundy, which has now finished state runner-up for three straight years, ends with an 11-2 record.
