The South Carolina High School League will be using a running clock for the 2022 high school football season. Earlier this week, the SCHSL Executive Committee voted 12-0 in favor of using a running clock when the point spread reaches 42 points at any point in the second half.

Prior to Tuesday’s vote, the so-called Mercy Rule was in the hands of both coaches.
