It took a couple of years for Bishop Gorman to gain revenge on Liberty, but it happened over the weekend. The top-ranked Gaels beat No. 2 Liberty 35-14 to advance to the state’s first-ever Class 5A championship game at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
In 2019, Liberty snapped Gorman’s run of ten straight state titles.
Next weekend, the Gaels will play McQueen, which moves from No. 6 to No. 5 in the latest High School Football America Nevada Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. McQueen beat former No. 5 Bishop Manogue 26-23 to gain its berth in the title game.
In the 4A championship game, No. 4 Silverado will play No. 7 Shadow Ridge at Allegiant
