The New York Jets and Nike have released a seven-part documentary series called #EmpowerHER that takes an in depth look at the second season of the Jets’ girls’ high school flag football league.
The series documents the entire season and highlights the growth that the league has made as it expanded from eight schools to 43 and created a Long Island league in addition to the New Jersey league.
In June, Irvington High School won the New Jersey championship. Bellmore-Merrick won the first-ever Long Island title.
