A Tennessee high school football coach has been hospitalized after being attacked by a 17-year-old student wanting to try out for the team.

According to the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal, Ron Aydelott, head coach at Riverdale High School sustained severe facial injuries after being assaulted in his office Tuesday morning.

The teen was reportedly turning in paper work to try out for the school’s football team.
