Chaminade-Madonna isn’t afraid to play anyone. Saturday night, the Lions, who are the top team in the High School Football America Small Schools Top 25 beat Washington Catholic Athletic Conference-power St. John’s College High School 35-28 at St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
C-M entered the contest ranked No. 21 in the HSFA 300 preseason national rankings, while SJC was No. 6.

Early in the second half, this one appeared as though Chaminade-Madonna had the game well in-hand as it build on its 28-7 halftime lead to 28 points.

However, a couple of Lion turnovers allowed the Cadets to get back into it. SJC closed to within a touchdown with over eight minutes to play, but couldn’t get a game-tying score.
