Northmont breaks into the High School Football America Ohio Top 25 at No. 11 after shutting-out Fairmont 28-0 in a battle of unbeatens. Next up for the Thunderbolts will be No. 22 Centerville.

Fairmont, which moves into the statewide Top 25 rankings last week for the first time, falls from No. 13 to No. 16.

Top-ranked St. Edward solidified its spot at the top of the rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, with its 17-14 win over No. 10 Elder. Wyatt Gedeon and Michael Kilbane had seven of St. Ed’s eight sacks.

Pickerington Central continues to oscillate in the Top 25. The Tigers beat Pickerington North 14-7 to move up from No. 16 to No. 14. North falls four spots to No. 15.

In addition to Northmont, Glenville (No. 25) is new to the rankings this week that are created with our proprietary algorithm.

The week ahead is a good one with four Top 25 head-to-heads.

  • No. 1 St. Ed plays No. 7 Massillon Washington
  • No. 2 Archbishop Moeller travels to No. 9 St. Xavier in Great Catholic League South play.
  • No. 4 Lakota West takes-on No. 20 Princeton.
  • No. 5 Archbishop Hoban is at home against No. 8 St. Ignatius

In a big out-of-state matchup, No. 10 Elder plays defending Kentucky 6A champ St. Xavier. Both are ranked nationally. Elder is No. 139. St. X is right behind the Panthers at No. 14
