For the first time in 15 years, Lane Tech is off to a 3-0 start. As a result, the Chicago Bears have named Dedrick DeWalt as their Week 3 High School Coach of the Week.

DeWalt is in his second year as the head coach at the Chicago Public Schools system. He’s a Chicago native, who played his high school football at Simeon where he was All-State during his junior and senior years.

After playing at Boston College, the wide receiver spent a brief time in NFL with the Tennessee Titans and St. Louis Rams.
