For the second week in a row, there are two new teams in the High School Football America Illinois Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football. For the first time ever, Palatine (No. 9) and St. Charles North (No. 10) are ranked in our statewide Top 10.

Former No. 3 Joliet Catholic tumbles out of the Top 10 after losing to Crete-Monee 48-42. The loss snapped the defending 4A champs win streak at 24 straight.

This week’s big game features No. 3 Mount Carmel (Chicago) taking-on No. 5 Brother Rice in a Chicago Catholic League/East Suburban Catholic Conference Blue Division showdown.

Last year, Brother Rice won the regular season matchup between the two, plus the Crusaders beat MC in the 7A quarterfinals.

Both team are ranked nationally in the HSFA 300. Mount Carmel is No. 171 this week, while Brother Rice is No. 289.
