Two new teams enter Arizona Top 10 high school football rankings

The High School Football America Arizona Top 10 welcomes two teams. Desert Mountain breaks into the statewide rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, at No. 9. Pinnacle makes its first appearance in the Top 10 in several years at No. 10.

Pinnacle’s entrance come after the Pioneers handled former No. 7 Queen Creek 39-13.

Casteel moves-up two spots to No. 7 after it beat Williams Field 23-20.

Peoria’s Liberty also jumps to spots to No. 6. The Lions move the move upward after blowing-out nationally-ranked (No. 250) Valor Christian from Colorado 50-7.

The win brings Liberty into the national rankings at No. 285.

Speaking of the national rankings, Chandler and Saguaro will try to improve their national positions when they battle Friday night. Chander enters the game ranked No. 22 America, while the defending Open Division champs are ranked No. 31.
