There’s a long way to go in the 2022 Kentucky high school football season, however, its looks to be a dandy if the first month of the season is any indication.

There aren’t many changes in the latest High School Football America Kentucky Top 10, powered by NFL Play Football, event though the No. 1 and No. 2 teams lost last week.

Trinity stays at No. 1 even though it lost to rival Male. The No. 4 Bulldogs picked-up an impressive 23-21 road win.

No. 2 St. Xavier dropped a 24-13 decision to Ohio-power Elder. Both teams entered the game ranked in the High School Football America 300 national rankings. This week, St. X is ranked No. 131 in the nation after the loss.

We now turn the page to the annual regular season showdown between Trinity and St. X. Trinity sits at No. 90 in the latest national rankings.

The only change in the statewide Top 10 this week is at No. 5 and No. 6 where DuPont Manual and Douglass flip-flop spot. The Crimson move to No. 5 after taking-down Ohio-power La Salle 20-16.

The win brings Manual into the national rankings at No. 210. This week, the Crimson will battle No. 3 Ballard, which is ranked No. 135 in America.
