Just like No. 1 Mater Dei (California) last week, Georgia’s Buford got a statement win Friday to solidify its spot at No. 2 in the High School Football America 300 national high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Wolves led former No. 20 Mill Creek from start-to-finish on the way to a 39-27 win before 10,000 fans a college football coaches like Georgia’s Kirby Smart and Ohio State’s Brian Day.

Of Buford’s seven wins, five of them have come against teams that are currently ranked in the HSFA 300.

In Ohio, Archbishop Moeller’s dreams of a national championship came to an end with a 6-0 loss to defending Division I state champ St. Edward. The only points of the game came off of the foot of Ben Lavalle, who booted a 46 and a 47-yard field goal.

Big Moe tumbles from No. 11 to No. 26 this week, while St. Ed moves up three notches to No. 36.

Central (Phenix City, Alabama) makes the big move inside the Top 100 created with HSFA’s proprietary algorithm. The Red Devils climb 14 spots to No. 52 after handing former No. 38 Auburn its first loss of the year. The 38-17 loss drops Auburn to No. 59 this week.

Next week, it will be No. 4 Miami Central’s turn to prove it’s worthy of its lofty national ranking. The undefeated Rockets will play No. 20 Columbus in a South Florida showdown.

The latest HSFA 300 features ten new teams.

Leading the way is Hamilton Southeastern (Indiana) at No. 181 after edging former No. 63 Brownsburg (Indiana) 31-28.

The other nine new teams this week are:
