It was a fairly calm week inside the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. There are nine new teams that enter the rankings that are created with our proprietary algorithm.

The biggest change near the top of the rankings is at No. 19 where St. Edward (Ohio) re-enters the Top 25. Over the last two weekends, the reigning Division I champs have knocked-off teams that entered their games unbeaten.

Friday night, St. Ed beat former No. 19 Archbishop Hoban 40-21. Two weeks ago, the Eagles handed Archbishop Moeller its only loss of the year when Big Moe was ranked No. 11 in America.

Denton Guyer (Texas) moves-up a notch to No. 16 after an impressive 49-7 defeat of former No. 58 Allen (Texas). The Wildcats were led by 5-star Oklahoma-recruit Jackson Arnold, who tossed four touchdown passes and ran for another.

Louisiana’s John Curtis makes a huge jump from No. 172 to No. 100. The Patriots drop St. Augustine from No. 96 to No. 103 with a 28-21 victory. JC battled back from a two-score deficit.

Miami Central (Florida) is edging closer to the top of the rankings. The Rockets remain No. 4, but picked-up a quality 42-35 victory over Miami Columbus, which entered the game ranked No. 20. MC opened-up a 35-7 lead before holding-on at the end for the win. The Explorers drop eight spots to No. 28.

Colquitt County (Georgia), the 2015 High School Football America national champs, move into the Top 25. The Packers move-up eight spots this week to settle at No. 20.
