After a season-opening loss to Florida-power St. Thomas Aquinas (No. 3 in national rankings), St. Joseph’s Prep rolled to 12 straight wins and a seventh Pennsylvania high school football state championship.
Saturday night, the Hawks, ranked No. 21 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football, routed No. 264 Harrisburg 42-7 for Class 6A title. It’s the school’s third title in the last four years and avenged last year’s championship game loss to Mt. Lebanon.
This one was never in-doubt as junior quarterback Samaj Jones scampered for a touchdown early and then toss four TD’s.
