Franklin moved-up from 3A Division II to Division I this year, but the result was the same as 2021. The Lions beat Brock 17-14 to capture the school’s second straight Texas high school football title.
The game came down to the final drive of the game. Franklin offense put together a 16-play, 65-yard drive that ended with Curt Lowry booting a game-winning 20-yard field goal as time expired.
