The Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association’s 2022 Class 2A all-state high school football team is out.

Junior Terry Bussey of Timpson is the 2A Offensive Player of the Year. He ran for 2,596 yards, averaging 14.1 yards per carry with 46 touchdowns. In addition, Bussey threw for 2,177 yards with 26 TD’s.

Shiner defensive back Dalton Brooks and Albany defensive back Wyatt Wyndam are Co-Defensive Players of the Year.

Albany head coach Denney Faith is the Coach of the Year after winning his first-ever state title. He owns 344 wins since taking-over the program in 1987.
