For the fifth year in a row, Missouri beat Kansas in the Kansas vs. Missouri High School All-Star Football Game. The 35-7 victory gives the Sho-Me State a 12-11 lead in the series.
Defensive back Jake Gassman of Kearney High School was the Missouri MVP. Gassman had a 62-yard punt return.
At halftime, the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association inducted its inaugural Hall of Fame class.
In addition to coaches, former Olathe North High School (Kansas) star Darren Sproles was honored. After high school, Sproles went-on to star at Kansas St. and is currently member of the Philadelphia Eagles, his third NFL team.
