Shake-up in Week 2 HSFA Georgia Top 25

With No. 7 Milton and No. 8 Cedar Grove losing last weekend in the Broward County National Football Showcase, this week’s High School Football America Georgia Top 25 high school football rankings look different from the previous week. The top six teams in the statewide rankings, powered by NFL Play Football, hold their spots, but after that, everything is different from Week 1.

Look for some shuffling next week with three head-to-head matchups in the Top 25

No. 1 Buford vs. No. 15 North Cobb
No. 6 Carrollton vs. No. 12 Rome
No. 21 Warner Robins vs. Northside (Warner Robins)

No. 10 Creekside will test itself against one of the top programs in the nation when it travels west to play Mater Dei (California), ranked No. 2 in the High School Football America 300. The Tribe, ranked No. 123 in the HSFA 300, is coming-off a 34-15 win over New Jersey-power St. Peter’s Prep in a game that was televised on F loFootball.

For the first time in a long time, Cedar Grove has fallen out of the Top 25. The Saints will try to rebound from last week’s 50-42 loss to Monarch (Florida) when it plays No. 9 Westlake this week.
