Davison moves-up five spots in the latest High School Football America Michigan Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Cardinals sit at No. 3 this week after beating two-time reigning Division 2 state champ De La Salle Collegiate 31-26. DLS remains at No. 4 in the rankings created with our proprietary algorithm.

Southfield A&T breaks into the Top 10 at No. 5 after beating preseason No. 3 Cass Tech 29-27. CT tumbles three spots to No. 6.

This week’s schedule features three teams playing out-of-state opponents who are ranked in the HSFA 300 national rankings.

Detroit MLK, ranked No. 2 in the state and No. 142 after losing its opener to St. Xavier (Ohio), plays No. 269 Carmel from Indiana.

Cass Tech will play New Jersey-power St. Joseph Regional (Montvale). SJR is ranked No. 127 in the HSFA 300. CT was in our preseason rankings, but dropped-out this week after its loss to Southfield A&T.

No. 7 Detroit Catholic Central will square-off against defending Ohio Division II champ Toledo Central Catholic, ranked No. 57 nationally.
