No. 40 Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) vs. No. 115 St. Joseph Regional (Montvale, New Jersey)

Two-time defending New Jersey Non-Public A state champ Bergen Catholic beat St. Joseph Regional 28-23. St. Joe’s was driving at the end, but the BC defense stopped the Green Knights on a fourth-and-3 at the Crusaders’ 26 yard line.

Saturday Games

No. 16 St. Edward (Ohio) vs. No. 97 Archbishop Moeller (Ohio)

St. Edward moves to 8-1 with a 28-21 win over Archbishop Moeller, snapping the Crusaders’ four game win streak. The Eagles used a strong ground game led by sophomore running back Brandon White, who scored two touchdowns. He ran for 262 yards on 32 carries.

No. 121 Iona Prep (New York) vs. No. 119 Cardinal Hayes (New Jersey)

With first-place St. Anthony’s dropping its first Catholic High School Football League game on Friday night, Cardinal Hayes had a chance to move into a first place tie. However, Iona Prep beat the Cardinals 46-35.

Right now, St. Anthony’s and Archbishop Stepanic are tied atop the standing with one loss. Those two will in two weeks.

Friday Games

No. 1 Mater Dei (California) at No. 6 St. John Bosco (California)

St. John Bosco dominated Mater Dei 28-0 before a sellout home crowd. Click here to read game recap.

No. 8 Buford (Georgia) at No. 18 Mill Creek (Georgia)

Mill Creek, the reigning 7A champs, won a see-saw game 31-24 on national television. It featured four ties at 7, 14, 21 and 28.

No. 11 Miami Central (Florida) at No. 55 Norland (Florida)

Norland overcame a 20-0 deficit to beat three-time defending state champ Miami Central 29-26 in overtime. Noah Sidan’s 38-yard field goal puts the Vikings in the driver’s seat in Class 2M District 13.

No. 22 Center Grove (Indiana) at No. 212 Cathedral (Indiana)

Three-time defending 6A champ Center Grove outscored Cathedral 45-38. The Trojans head into the postseason with a 8-1 record.

No. 26 Good Counsel (Maryland) vs. No. 30 DeMatha (Maryland)

The rivalry game lived up to the hype. Good Counsel put itself in great position to win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference regular season title with a 35-28 win in overtime.

The Falcons battled back from being down 28-20 with 1:32 to go in regulation and then came up with the game-winning stop on defense.

No. 27 Westlake (Texas) vs. No. 155 Dripping Springs (Texas)

Dripping Springs held a 14-7 halftime lead. However, the second half was all Westlake in a 27-14 win to move the Chaps to 7-0. Dripping Springs is now 5-2.

No. 50 Brownsburg (Indiana) vs. No. 164 Hamilton Southeastern (Indiana)

Brownsburg wins the Hoosier Crossroads Conference title with a 21-14 win. The Bulldogs head into the postseason with a perfect 9-0 record.

No. 53 Mission Viejo (California) vs. No. 273 San Clemente (California)

San Clemente is now in position to win the South Coast Conference after surprising Mission Viejo 20-10. It was the Tritons first win in Mission Viejo since 1998. Aiden Rubin ran for 242 yards in the victory.

No. 72 JSerra (California) vs. No. 80 Santa Margarita (California)

Santa Margarita edged JSerra on a last field goal 34-31.

No. 75 Orange Lutheran (California) vs. No. 172 Servite (California)

Steve Chavez ran for three touchdowns in Orange Lutheran’s 36-33 win over Servite.

No. 96 Holy Cross (Louisiana) at No. 235 Brother Martin (Louisiana)

Brother Martin’s Jordan West rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns in a 22-19 defeat of Holy Cross in a 5A District 9 showdown.

No. 100 Oak Grove (Mississippi) vs. No. 238 Brandon (Mississippi)

After an 0-2 start, Brandon won its fifth straight Friday night with a 38-20 win over previously unbeaten Oak Grove 38-20.

No. 106 Elder (Ohio) at No. 209 Bishop Chatard (Indiana)

Chartard closed out a perfect 9-0 regular season with a 34-7 rout of Elder.

No. 113 Hewitt-Trussville (Alabama) at No. 169 Vestavia Hills (Alabama)

Senior QB Peyton Floyd had a huge game in the team’s 55-27 win. Floyd had 427 yards in total offense with 257 yards rushing and 170 yards passing

No. 124 American Fork (Utah) vs. No. 127 Skyridge (Utah)

American Fork wins the 6A Region 3 championship with a 34-27 win over Skyridge. It was Skyridge’s second straight loss in OT.

No. 126 Pleasant Grove (Utah) vs. No. 129 Lehi (Utah)

Tied at 28 going into the fourth quarter, two-time defending state champ Lehi beat Pleasant Grove 35-28 on a 1-yard rushing touchdown run by Kolose Latu.

No. 216 Hough (North Carolina) at No. 220 Mallard Creek (North Carolina)

The Queen City Conference championship is firmly in the grasp of Hough after a 30-6 win over Mallard Creek. The Huskies are now 5-0 in conference play with games against Harding University and Hopewell. They’ll be the favorites in both of those games.

Thursday

No. 116 Booker T. Washington (Miami, Florida) at No. 203 Northwestern (Miami, Florida)

Booker T. Washington improves to 5-2 with a 28-20 win over Miami-rival Northwestern at Traz Powell Stadium. Playing one of the toughest schedules in Florida, the Bulls fall to 2-6.

No. 179 Lafayette Christian Academy (Louisiana) vs. No. 246 Teurlings Catholic (Louisiana)

Lafayette Christian Academy sent a message to the rest of 4A District 4 with a 62-3 rout of Teurlings Catholic. LSU-recruit Ju’Juan Johnson tossed three touchdown passes in the first half.

The Knights are now 6-1 overall and 2-0 in the district. Most are looking ahead to LCA’s showdown with No. 65 St. Thomas More in the regular season finale on November 3.
