2023 Arizona Cardinals High School Coaches of the Week

In its 29th year, the Arizona Cardinals “Coach-of-the-Week” program presented by Circle K and SCHEELS presents the Arizona Cardinals High School Game of the Week winning coach with a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell, Cardinals Owner Michael Bidwill and Head Coach Jonathon Gannon. Cardinals Cheerleaders, Cardinals team mascot Big Red and Cardinals alumni will take part in the presentation each week of the winning school.

Below are the 2023 winners.

2023 Arizona Cardinals High School Coach of the Week Winners

Week 10 – Santiago Maldonado, Moon Valley HS

Moon Valley closed-out a 5-5 season with a 47-42 win over Glendale.

Week 9 – Brian Belles, Cactus HS

Week 8 – Andy Litten, Horizon HS

Week 7 – Colin Thomas, Liberty HS

Liberty shutout previously unbeaten Salpointe Catholic 49-0 last week. The Lions are currently ranked No. 36 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football. Coach Thomas was named the Cardinals 2022 Coach of the Year.

Week 6 – Richard Taylor, Centennial HS

Centennial’s 29-26 upset Chandler, giving Coach Taylor the Cardinals Coach of the Week. The win moves Centennial to No. 48 in the HSFA 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Week 5 – Chad Milton, ALA West Foothills HS

ALA West Foothills improved to 5-1 with a 49-48 win over Paradise Honors.

Week 4 – Jason Jewell, Brophy Prep

Week 3 – Marcus and Mark Carter, Desert Edge HS

Twin brothers Marcus and Mark Carter have the Scorpions off to a 3-1 start after beat Higley last week 38-32 in double overtime.

Week 2 – Rick Garretson, Chandler

Last week, Garretson and the Wolves beat nationally-ranked Orange Lutheran from California. The win moves the Wolves from No. 107 to No. 41 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Week 1 – Brock Farrel, Highland HS

Farrel was named COTW after Highland upset defending Open Division champ Basha 22-21. The win moved the Hawks from No. 213 to No. 71 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.
