Loyola Academy finishes No. 1 in final 2023 HSFA Illinois Top 10 high school football rankings

Loyola Academy’s second straight 8A state championship lands the Ramblers at No. 1 in the final 2023 High School Football America Illinois Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. LA was also the highest ranked team in the HSFA national rankings at No. 32.

Chicago’s Mt. Carmel finishes No. 2 in the statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. The 7A champs only loss was to Loyola Academy by two-points (23-21) in late October. On the national scene, the Caravan finished No. 35.

East St. Louis, after playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation finishes No. 3 in the state, followed by Lincoln-Way East at No. 4, Carey-Grove at No. 5, Batavia at No. 6, York at No. 7, Edwardsville at No. 8, Barrington at No. 9 and St. Rita at No. 10.
