Mayfield now owns 13 overall Kentucky high school football titles after a 53-48 win over Owenboro Catholic for the state’s Class 2A state championship. The title is the first since 2018 and snaps a four-game losing streak in the state finals. The Cardinals finished runner-up 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022.
