In a battle of nationally-ranked teams, St. Thomas More beat Lafayette Christian Academy 35-21 for its second straight Louisiana Select Division II high school football championship. The game was a rematch of the 2022 title game won by the Cougars 52-48 and the third time the two have met in the last 401 days.
STM entered the game No. 48 in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football. LCA was No. 122.
