Select Division II state champ St. Thomas More finishes 2023 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Louisiana Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Cougars perfect 14-0 season included a 35-28 win over Select Division I champ Catholic (Baton Rouge).
In the national rankings, STM finished No. 43 in our national rankings. All ten teams in our statewide rankings finished the year in the HSFA 300 national rankings.
After St. Thomas More and Catholic, Non-Select Division I champ Ruston finishes No. 3. The Bearcats won their first state title in 33 years in December at Caesars Superdome, home of the New Orleans Saints.
Following Ruston is Zachary at No. 4, Destrehan at No. 5, John Curtis at No. 6, Lafayette Christian Academy at No. 7, Acadiana at No. 8, Edna Karr at No. 9 and Holy Cross at No. 10.
