Xaverian Brothers finishes 2023 as the No. 1 team in the High School Football America Massachusetts Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. After winning the Division 1 Super Bowl in December at Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots, the Hawks now own eleven overall Massachusetts high school football state championships.

Regular season No. 1 St. John’s Prep finishes No. 2. SJP was 11-0 until losing to Xaverian in their Thanksgiving rivalry (23-21) and then in the state championship (31-25).

Springfield Central is No. 3 in our statewide rankings created with our proprietary algorithm. The Golden Eagles are followed by Division 2 champ King Philip Regional at No. 4, Marshfield at No. 5, Catholic Memorial at No. 6, Everett at No. 7, Milton at No. 8, Needham at No. 9 and Walpole at No. 10.
