On today’s High School Football America Podcast, Jeff Fisher talks with Dr. Kevin Perry, co-founder of the Broward County National Football Showcase. This year’s South Florida event features a dozen teams that finished 2023 in the High School Football America 300 national rankings, powered by NFL Play Football.

Headlining the three-day event is a matchup between Chaminade-Madonna (Florida) and St. John Bosco (California). C-M finished 2023 ranked No. 2 in our national rankings. SJB, winners of our 2019 and 2022 national championships, was ranked No. 3 last season.
In another heavyweight matchup, Florida’s St. Thomas Aquinas will host Nevada-power Bishop Gorman.
STA, ranked No. 6 in the HSFA 300, set a Florida state record with its fifth straight state title last year. No other team has won that many in a row. The Raiders’ 15 overall state championships are the most in the Sunshine State.
Gorman has won 13 state titles in the last 14 years in the state’s largest classification. The Gaels, who won the 2016 High School Football America national championship in 2016, finished No. 5 nationally in ’23.
