The Milton Eagles continue to look for quality opponents outside of Georgia. The Eagles’ 2024 schedule includes a matchup with Florida-power American Heritage from Plantation.

The game, which will be part of the Broward County National Football Showcase, in South Florida will be a matchup between two teams that finished last year in the High School Football America 300, powered by NFL Play Football.

Milton finished No. 18 in our national rankings in ’23. American Heritage was ranked No. 48.

The 2023 7A champs won’t be able to defend that title this year, because Georgia dropped its 7A classification when it realigned for the next two years. However, the Eagles won’t be playing in 6A. Instead, the Fulton County school will be playing in 5A, which is more in-line with its enrollment. The school has been “playing up” in classification over the recent years.

Milton is part of Region 7 along with Chattahoochee, Gainesville, Johns Creek, Lanier, Roswell and Seckinger.

Aside from American Heritage and its region schedule, the Eagles have a solid non-region schedule, led by its opener against Buford. Alpharetta and Blessed Trinity are the other two non-region games..
