For the fourth time this season, there’s a new No. 1 in the High School Football America Alabama Top 10 high school football rankings. Saraland sits in the top spot this week after former No. 1 Auburn was beaten by Thompson in the 7A quarterfinals.
Thompson’s win lifts the Warriors from No. 5 to No. 2 this week. Up next for Thompson is Enterprise in the 7A semis. On the other side of the bracket this week is No. 4 Hoover facing defending 7A champ Central (Phenix City).
As far as Saraland, the Spartans play No. 8 Spain Park this week in the 6A quarterfinals.
