Hoover jumps four spots to No. 5 in the latest High School Football America Alabama Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The Bucs are up this week after an 8-7 win over Hewitt-Trussville, which falls from No. 5 to No. 6.
The 7A Region 2 championship race is shaping up. No. 1 Central (Phenix City), No. 7 Auburn and unranked Carver-Montgomery sit atop the region with 2-0 records.
Central, coming off a 42-35 win over No. 10 Dothan, has another big one this week when it faces No. 8 Enterprise.
Carver-Montgomery, just outside of the Top 10, will face Dothan this week.
Auburn, which beat Enterprise last week 53-22, plays winless JAG this week.
