Clay-Chalkville is the new No. 1 in the latest High School Football America Alabama Top 10 high school football rankings, powered by NFL Play Football. The shake-up at the top of our statewide rankings, created with our proprietary algorithm, comes after former No. 1 Central (Phenix City) lost to Auburn 38-33 last Friday in a 7A thriller.
Auburn moves from No. 6 to No. 2 after its big win that moves the Tigers to the top of Class 7A Region 2 with a 4-0 record.
The win also jetted Auburn in our national rankings. The Tigers jump from No. 213 to No. 44 in the HSFA 300 that was released Monday afternoon.
Central (Phenix City) falls from No. 1 to No. 3 in the latest rankings.
