The road to the nation’s first 2019 high school football state championships begins this weekend in Alaska. All three divisions will be in action with first round games.

Seven-time defending champ Soldotna will open defense of its Division II title against West Valley in the state semifinals. In the other semi, Eagle River faces Lathrop.
